Do you love your scanner?

For Christmas, Kevin and I have decided to give each other a scanner. It will primarly be used for scanning in pictures (particularly old pictures, far pre-dating digital cameras) and other random pieces of paper such as recipes and whatnot.

Do you have a scanner that you use for pictures? Do you love it? Do you hate it? Please give me any feedback you've got so I know where to start my search.

Thanks!

i love the canon LiDE ones..they are so in-expensive and have the best quality(and max resolution output) from what i have seen. the only complaint some have - is the lid does not have magnets to close - but i never have a problem with mine - we have 3 at work and 1 at home

I just got a Canon MP600 scanner/printer/copier a few months back. It works beautifully, and I've had absolutely no problems with it. And it does everything!

I'll ask my dad today. I use his and it rocks. Oh-that's because we're too cheap to get our scanner and stop mooching :-)

I have a perfect Canon Canoscan FB630U that I got as a wedding present that cost hardly anything and its the most amazing little machine ever. They probably have a newer model nowadays but generally I like Canon for anything photographic like and since as a graphic artist I used one a lot, I recommend that brand for home use :)

They're so much fun!

We have an epson, which is what they use at N.ASA, (where my husband works) but maybe that would make you think twice! :)

We have a scanner.... it is not even hooked up right now, but yes... we use it for pictures, ultrasound pictures during pregnancy, older pictures, making copies of papers... etc...

I wanted to say congrats on your pregnancy! We're just starting to try for #4 and I've had an extensive history of infertility :( But I can't complain, I have 3 beautiful blessings :)

Normally I don't care for Lexmark products however, I love my Lexmark Office All-in-One Plus Photo X8350 Printer/Copier/Scanner/Fax. It prints good photos all the time but when you put in the photo cartridge, the quality is exceptional.

Here's a link from walmart below.

Congrats on your pregnancy! I think we are going to try one more month before quitting.

Merry Christmas!
