Ugh

You know how I just said in my post below from this morning that I needed to blog more? Looks like I'm going to have lots of time to do just that. Seeing as how I'm now offically on bedrest.

Good grief, I'm still in shock and can't believe it. I guess when you have a blood pressure reading of 170/100 and protein in your urine, it makes people a little on edge... Luckily I'm just shy of 3 weeks away from full-term (37 weeks), so hopefully I don't languish here too long.

The toughest thing, for sure, will be getting my wildly overactive 3 year old to understand why I can't do everything that I used to do. Between when I got home and when she went to bed, a whopping 5 hours elapsed -- but that didn't stop me from needing to explain and re-explain the concept to her at least a dozen times. Should be interesting.

Oh chickie - I'm so sorry! At least you made it this far, but no matter what, bedrest can't be fun. Ugh. Hang on just a couple more weeks, Spidey!!!!!!

Oh, bedrest. Until you deliver, or until the BP goes down? I'm sorry about your ex-boyfriend. That must be absolutely chilling. I have an ex-husband (alcoholic, but allegedly sober) whose numerous crimes (though as far as I know not violent ones, or not yet) I found out about during and after our divorce. His own mother told me 'thank God you got out, he's a sociopath.' And I second you that Al-anon is a lifesaver if you're in that situation.

Ouch! I am so sorry about the bedrest! That's what happened to me with my first--and it was tough. I can't imagine with a lively 3 year old. Is there a neighbor or friend that she could go "visit" for a bit? Maybe have a sleep over or two with a friend?

Tough having a 3 year old. The concept of bedrest is a bit lost on them I'm sure. I hope you get up and about again soon!

Oh, and can I get your home address again? I have managed to misplace it in the move!

Oy--bedrest is awful. I can't imagine how to do it with a child already in the house. Can the TOOTPU come over and bother you? Bring you damp brownies? Damp with saliva, I mean.

ugg is right. Sorry about the BP and the bedrest. And I third Shelby and Mel, let us know what TOOTPU can do...movies, food, lively conversation...we really are the whole package

feel better!

Ug, sorry about the bedrest. At least you are close to the end and planning a cesarean birth anyway. I can't believe it. Isn't it less likely with a subsequent pregnancy?

Well, shit, Leah. Well, if there's anyone who can sympathize, it's me! I spent 3 1/2 months on bedrest with a really pissed off almost-four year old at home! What can I do for you??
